Yes, but she is immortal because you are. Who else has the time to learn enchanting to the degree in which one can become immortal, and the ever so convenient sustanoc knacks which undoubtedly make it easier?

Also, it remains to be seen if she has the mental endurance to handle immortality. She may tire of life eventually and stop using the talisman. Zi ri, on the other hand, are built to live forever.

As I understand it, constructing your own immortality device is something of a rite of passage among the more powerful wizards.

I would say it's nearly a requirement for a non-Zi Ri mage to be called a sorcerer. There are, say, a dozen sorts of things one ought to be able to do, including that; and doing half of them approximately qualifies you for the honorific. Not that the rules are solid, or even written down anywhere.
