The great ones mock me!

"Your friends are: insomniac Cani? ultra-loyal Rassimel? Sleeth pretending to be civilized? Sythyry, your first set of questions does not seem to work very well to predict peoples' species, if they aren't willing to tell it right in the first place.

"As for your second and third questions: your analysis of the data is actually right. More of your friends have said that they will marry across species than will date across species. You have, it seems, taken up with a pack of perverts, degenerates, transaffectionates, musicians, libertines, actors, adventurers, rakes, ne'er-do-wells, and, perhaps, if your tastes are sufficiently poor, fops.

"Your fourth question is vanity, pure and simple. Two things are fortunate here: first that people generally did not consider you to be flirting; second that your analysis is simply useless.

"Which is to say that, imprimus, you have to do this exercise a third time; and, secundus, you should associate with a more respectable quality of person."

And so:

Sythery, Sythery, Sythery... you know, don't you, that tilting at windmills like this is sure to earn you a poor grade, and worse, the aprobation of your teacher?

The first rule of poking at inflated egos is this: Make sure they aren't in a position of power over you.

Oh. Right.

I suppose I should work out a more safe sort of questionnaire.

This is being a tremendous lot of work.

Ah, well. I am enjoying this one, at least.

Thank you!

I'm not really the academy type, but it seems to me you are just causing more troubles! But your quiz is funny.

My really truthfully real advice about your friends all being degenerates and like that? You should ask your uncle why the other stuff that shows up in your book (this is assuming you are not making it all up, I am not sure)is all from monsters and stuff (except me). Maybe you have a DESTINY or something. Or maybe a bunch of people are pulling your feathers. But anyway, you have centuries to be obnoxious and eccentric ahead of you.

Do NOT send this quiz in! They will not like it. Come to the bakery and make a quiz about what do people like, buns or turnovers, and look at them all to make sure they are not degenerates and fops or whatever.

Floosh!

For instance, there could be a quiz about the nature of frock-coats; of what variety boots best demonstrate the shape of one's calves, or what the alternative is if you happen not to have legs; or the like.

Or if you want to be really naught- er, clever, make up a quiz which flatters your professor's sartorial (*cough*) splendor, and turn it in with a straight face.

Then you'll be well on your way to becoming an actor, and associating more with professors. ;)

Barristers and judges? Guildmasters? Good heavens, young zir, I thought you said you were seeking to associate with a BETTER class of people, not with organized criminals!

If I may be so bold and indiscreet, after advising any Cani present to tuck the tips of their ears in to avoid hearing what shall doubtless be seen as proof of my own perfidy and foppitude, I have found from long association with members of my immediate ancestry who shall remain nameless that those who collect meng miniatures are among the most boring and long-winded individuals in the Tree, so free of perversion and degeneracy that were it not for the immediate and provable evidence, to wit, myself, one would presume them to be ensured of dying as virgins, and because of all of this evidence these sad folk probably count as a 'better,' or more tepid, class of people to associate with.

There is that.... perhaps I am being counselled to associate with organized criminals instead of disorganized ones?

I have found from long association with members of my immediate ancestry who shall remain nameless

It is fortunate that you have so many immediate ancestors that no-one shall ever guess which one, or two, or eleven, you mean.

because of all of this evidence these sad folk probably count as a 'better,' or more tepid, class of people to associate with.

It is advice such as yours that provides young people, such as myself, with a clear and absolute moral guidance that leaves no room for ambiguity or doubt! I shall rush over to the club of miniature collectors on the instant! O Tepidity, bide a moment, wait for my eager coming embrace!

[Sythyry slips out the window, and sneaks over to the nearest student bar. Zie asks around for miniature collectors, finds none, and sips a small chalice of pren brandy to console zirself.]

[OOC - very grin! I am quite amused!]

Sorry! I didn't realize that it wouldn't get hidden until the quiz was up and there were some answers, and once that's happened the instructions say they can't be changed...

[OOC: You probably know this by now, but: the entry can be changed, it's only the quiz that can't. ]

I never had this much fun with *my* assignments first year. Of course, I didn't have a horde of monsters to poll, either.
