Perplexingly, it seems that my journal is not entirely private. Fortunately, most of the people -- you people -- who can read it are far away from Vheshrame, and I suspect that some of you are not prime.

I am, by the standards of your realm, insanely wealthy. I live in a house with doors of real wood and a basement of stone, and eat my food with steel utensils. And yet even a part time servant is too much of a luxury for me, and I had to scrub out my carpets myself.

Go figure.
