I'm afraid they are pure gold, without any rosemary content. Well, the stems get a bit of the scent on them, but not enough to cook with.

I could see it being a novelty garnish but still, hm... As much as gold would be nice, I could see real rosemary being actually a bit more pragmatic. I use real rosemary more on a daily basis and don't have to worry about the economic impact on commodity markets that way.

I think I could afford a window box with rosemary and other herbs, from the proceeds of selling the leaves.

I don't think 3 ounces/week of gold (or even ten ounces, if the price goes back down significantly) is going to make a big difference to the commodity markets.
