I want to combine my answer to number three into one. I want a Antler growing out of my head like a Kirin or Unicorn!

Could I make my body smaller until functional wings were no longer huge, instead?

Would the golden rosemary leaves still taste like rosemary?

I'm afraid they are pure gold, without any rosemary content. Well, the stems get a bit of the scent on them, but not enough to cook with.

I could see it being a novelty garnish but still, hm... As much as gold would be nice, I could see real rosemary being actually a bit more pragmatic. I use real rosemary more on a daily basis and don't have to worry about the economic impact on commodity markets that way.

There was a philosopher on my world who wrote, "when I have a little money, I buy books. If there is any left over, I buy food." Anyone who has seen me knows that I buy food rather more often than that... but I'd guess it's about a 50/50 split.

Is the usb to brain connection usb 3.0? I would presume that it's a plug and play device that lets me control computers with a thought, inputting text, mental sounds, movement, ascii, images, raw video output?

Rosemary plant growing out of your left ear, growing golden leaves (approx $400 worth per day)

Gold is currently running more than $1200/ounce. That's a pretty pathetic rosemary plant. ;P

I think I could afford a window box with rosemary and other herbs, from the proceeds of selling the leaves.

I don't think 3 ounces/week of gold (or even ten ounces, if the price goes back down significantly) is going to make a big difference to the commodity markets.

Yes, well, finding oneself being the target of abduction by just about every malignant tumor of society does tend to dampen the novelty of such a thing.

Oh, I don't know? I can think of worse issues to be endured? And such a "pathetic" plant means that:

1. I would be independently wealthy.
2. I would be wealthy enough to live alone for a few years.
3. I would, in those few years, be able to grow sufficient hair that said "pathetic" rosemary plant could be safely concealed, thereby greatly reducing the potential threat of kidnapping by criminals. Government or otherwise.

Consider the source. It's not so much the specifics of a neural-to-USB bridge, it's the concept of having a direct mental connection to any number of large amounts of information or processing ability. In Sythyry's world, I imagine it would be some sort of complex working which allowed one to walk into any similarly-prepared library and be able to quickly determine which book held the information they wished and then the information itself. It could also mean getting feedback from spells which have the connector woven into them, such that one could interface directly with another's standing spell if they so wished. We might call this compatible casting, or "Ubiquitous Spell Bridging", with levels describing the amount of interaction possible....

Or simply being touched by random harmless individuals who think it's pretty and deserves touching. I've experienced this myself, a result of having rather thick and lustrous hair. Some people – usually older folks from other countries, mind – are apparently awed enough by it and free enough of the local concept of personal space that they'll just reach out to touch it. It's... startling. (Especially after having read Of Mice and Men.)

That's the implication -- USB usually implies controllers and file transfer. Of course it would depend on the software that came with the port -- I don't think Windows 7 has built in brain drivers.
