Ah! There it is....

What about 'boy'? Isn't a boy an animal, too? :p

[identity profile] n.livejournal.com 2003-09-10 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
But? I'm not a whale?

Though..

'Shave the Whalesh! Shave them!"

And I love reading all your journal posts Sythyry. They keep me inspired with my own tales :)

[identity profile] sythyry.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 06:45 am (UTC)(link)
The second round was pretty much dead wrong. Based on someone getting "Perch" out of "Coppercheetah".

Glad you like them! Where do your tales go?

[identity profile] n.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 07:35 am (UTC)(link)
http://uh.technoweyr.co.uk is where they go and I pretty much write a nice daily update to it. It's the story of a young Paladin and Rogue (unlikely coupling!) in the land of Norrath (The EverQuest Universe). It chronicles their adventures which are based on actual real gameplay. It'll get expanded with new people as time goes on and talking of this.. gotta write up about discovering the Bloodied Quarries *grin*

EQ roleplay

Now, now... paladins and rogues can get along quite well, in fact.

My main character is a rather high-level cleric, one whose always seen as having delusions of paladinhood, due to his highly melee-based and aggressive nature: He doesn't sit in the back and throw healing spells at people. No, he's right in the middle of things, swinging, casting stun and blast-type spells, and the required heal when a member needs it. (The common term is 'combat cleric'.)

His beloved? A female wood elf rogue he met years ago (almost literally in RL time), and for whom they've had a relationship going that survived even a four month hiatus in which they went their own ways, and she even got herself married (!) to someone else. (She later ditched the creep and came to her senses once she realized it was only his power that attracted her to him.)

It's not a perfect match, but at the same time, Mr. Holier-Than-Thou gets reminded that some things are best handled with deception and cunning, and Mrs. Dark-and-Sinister gets reminded that good can come from 'evil' actions. In this, they've achieved a rather wonderful balance.

Hmmmph!
Does this look like a bird to you?

Or does this?

If I used a chocobo for my picture, I wouldn't have minded.

[identity profile] sythyry.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 01:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think you're a bird! I just think you have "ave" as a substring of your LJhandle!

[identity profile] ztrooper.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 01:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm a sabertooth tiger, demmit!

[identity profile] sythyry.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 01:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, but this meme isn't about what you are. It's just counting people who have animals and plants as part of their LJhandle. You (and I) don't get included, 'cause we don't wear species on our handles. [livejournal.com profile] sdragon does get included 'cause zie's got "dragon" in zir handle. Poor [livejournal.com profile] coppercheetah comes out as both "cheetah" and "perch", even though he's a cheetah and no perch.

Ahhhhhhh
it makes zee sense now!

Hey! You're a kangaroo by those rules!

[identity profile] daveqat.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 02:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Um. Bird? No. I'm a feline. ;op An unusual one, but a feline nonetheless.

[identity profile] sythyry.livejournal.com 2003-09-12 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, you got listed as 'cat' too. But 'ave' is a substring of your LJ userid, so also 'bird'. Just like saying 'coppercheetah' is a 'perch'
