An unidentified person wants to know about dragons! Any eightishness about these questions is purely coincidental. We ask about a stereotypical "proper" dragon, of whatever tradition you consider the most stereotypical and proper. We do not expect Sythyry to qualify as 'proper'!

They abhor sparkling vampires even more, by the way. I forgot to say that.

I figure that ornithology is a proper hobby for any organism fortunate enough to live on a world with birds.

Imagine if you will, a dragon whose driving goal, is to seek out the very best, most sought after chefs in all the world, and defeat them in contests of cookery. To be able to balance a saucepan upon one's whiskers and use their own flaming breath to summon forth heretofore unimaginable delights, whereas mere mortals are condemned to be forever tied to immobile hunks of bitter metal and stone.

They would have scores of devoted followers. They would command the business of every farmer, butcher, baker and spice merchant in the land. All would vie for the chance to curry favor with the Lizardly Lord of Lavosh, the Sinuous Sorcerer of Sushi, the Vritran Vendor of Vichyssoise.

Kings, Emperors, Presidents and leaders of every stripe would teeter on the brink of war in ever greater efforts to host this Culinary Coatl within their borders.

And ever greater would become their fame, their hoard, and their followers.

And yet this Beast of the Broast would not be a cruel or heartless monster, but a Ehecatl of Education, seeding knowledge and cultivating fields of students and sowing progeny in their wake.

Right, I'm off to get some ribbons. Thanks for the fashion advice!

Sorry for having to ask, but what is "eightishness"?

"Time", as a weapon, is sublimely magnificent, completely irresistable, and will always favour the right. My mind is blown.
