Education in Hanija

Mirrored from Sythyry.

The Official Dialog

Every school in Hanija teaches the following dialog late in middle school.

Teacher: “What brings joy?”

Students: “Knowing one’s station in society.”

Teacher: “What brings peace?”

Students: “Adhering carefully to one’s station in society.”

Teacher: “What brings unity?”

Students: “Being surrounded by those who adhere to their station in society.”

Teacher: “What brings calm?”

Student: “Knowing that everyone will adhere to their station in society.”

The Actual Dialog

But it often goes like this.

Teacher: “What brings joy?”

Students: “A pretty boy!”

Teacher: “What brings peace?”

Students: “Bodily release!”

Teacher: “What brings unity?”

Students: “Baby-Immunity!”

Teacher: “What brings calm?”

Students: “Afterwards — balm!” [Pantomime: massaging sore genitalia.]

Nice rhyme and meter on the parody. Maybe if the original scanned better it'd be more popular. >:)

I always liked the dialogs where they pretend to argue about a point, only one side is deliberately being stupid so that the correct side can win.

I think the correct side won the second dialog!

"Orgy-porgy, Ford and fun,
Kiss the girls and make them One.
Boys at 0ne with girls at peace;
Orgy-porgy gives release."
