[Due to a surfeit of circumstances, Bard has become rather toasted. It will take a break of a few weeks from Sythyry, until it returns to its customary soggy self. There may be quizzes and other nonsense during the break. Pattery, flattery, nattery, and chattery are welcome. -bb]

Good luck with whatever's come up -- and remember, you get adventurer experience for it!

We haven't heard from [livejournal.com profile] sythery in a long time, hmm.

That is true! Give me a request -- a question or something -- and I might do something with it.

What we know about Oorah Thrassen is mainly that there's a famous play set there ("The Cheeses Of Oorah Thrassen") and that they have a big temple to the Dark Trinity, whose members aren't universally agreed on. What does the rest of the city think of these things and their reputation elsewhere? I imagine it as like a British subject realizing that some Americans mainly know of British pop culture through Monty Python, or Australians grumbling about or playing up the stereotype that they're all beer-swillin' knife-wieldin' kangaroo-ridin' outback criminals.

I picture it being something like an American "College Town" where a lot of the people not directly associated with the wizardry side of things are constantly complaining about how the Dark Temple holds the town back, despite the reality that if not for the Dark Temple, the town would be a tiny village no one had ever heard of.

Sythyry: Oh, what a capital idea! May I give you a lozen, and ask you to bring me back some dried prens and a skewer of grilled spiced mice?

Certainly! Do you prefer your prens with or without chocolate coating?
