Where all my cley has gone

Well, not strictly all of it, but most.

It is a small pitcher of blue glass, with a curling shrimp for a handle. When I say, "pthauppa, pour forth!" it creates some fourteen gallons of clean, bland water. Very real water. Once a day.

My first formal enchantment. And about as puny as an enchantment can get... except of course for it being real water instead of temporary one-hour water. Though real is easier for a Zi Ri.

We need not think about my grandparent's reaction, nor his first enchantment... for that matter, I don't know what zir first enchantment was. I'm sure it's in history books.

This one won't be.

It will however save me trips to the public fountain, and concomitant mockery.

Can it make LESS than 14 gallons of water?

Cause that's a lot of water.

Making it adjustable would have been more than a one-week project by a first-timer!

Well, one can never have too many baths, I suppose.

Just put a pause on the spell and you can have it pour some water, then wait for later and pour some more! And eventually it will be tomorrow and the enchantment will be refreshed.

Can you activate enchantments in the debugger?

Wow, that would be a really neat magiador/tempador spell. Stops another effect for a period (say, a few minutes, with any luck) and then lets it continue. I’ve got to research this one.

I wonder what would happen when the spell is “paused”? Would a levitate spell stop working, or just drop you?

No, unless they bathe sequentially in the same water. A reasonable Cani-sized bathtub holds about 25 gallons of water.

For drinking, and making soup, and boiling rutabegas, and splashing any Orren who show up, though?

I bet orren are even cuter when wild-rushing *and* transformed into otters.

You're lucky... I don't think I ever got to do a school project that was useful for anything. And I'm not so sure about the work I'm doing now. };)

Woo-hoo! Sounds terrific, Sythyry. I'm proud of you. And it *is* a lot more useful than anything *I* made as a one-week school project. *envy*
