OOC: more publishers

I don't go to many cons at all -- one a year maybe. I don't have a ton of spare time. I have been to that panel a few times. Hasn't helped much.

The panel itself possibly not - very few convention panels are instructive for anyone who has any idea at all about the subject matter. Information's gotten by chatting up the panellists afterwards and asking advice on your particular problem. In your case, you've got a novel and a gamebook already published, so you're obviously not a timewaster. Failing a convention, there are undoubtedly SF authors' boards where advice could be had.
