Hmm ... what are the physiological markers? That is, babies of most species are born with similarly morphed features, a trait called neoteny. They have large heads in proportion to their bodies, large facial features close together, more rounded shape in the body, etc. Those features gradually change to the adult form during childhood and adolescence. How long does it take a Zi Ri to reach morphological adulthood?
11 or 12 years, they are fully developed after their year of adolescence. As for the shape progress, I cannot say. Having seen their reproductive process both stated as actively painful and referred to as "the seven agonies", it does give me some ideas. Choosing 3 as the infant-toddler stages was simply based on the normal toilet training age I heard when I was young, and as a World Tree year is only 2/3 as long as ours, a three-year-old World Tree would be about on par with a two-year old in our world. My other cutoff dates were chosen based on the story in the Zi Ri section of "The People" in the rulebook and one of the other parts of that section that I cannot recall the header for at this time.
