The Vicious Candelabra

I actually HAVE a Vicious Candelabra ... well, chandelier, with magical glowing glass bulbs in it instead of candles. This thing lurks on the ceiling above our living room couch, like an armored Khtsoyis, waiting to do what Ktsoyis do best: bash unsuspecting people on the head. Somehow, even our regular guests tend to forget that it's there. No, we can't move the couch, as it won't fit anywhere else. And I don't have "Shrink the Oblivious Friends" grafted.

I can't help but think that the Sorcerous Ruby Potion Of James Randi would, in fact, simply prove to be fruit juice, or perhaps that its' only effect would be to have James Randi pop out and debunk the existence of sorcerous potions.

On the other hand, a vicious candleabra would make a really awesome way to keep Damn Kids off my lawn.

Well ... I was rather sarcastically amused when I thought to include James Randi in the list of legendary sorcerers and gods.

Clearly every wedded couple needs some sort of extravagant and ultimately useless kitchen gift, vis. the Diamond Fork (and my Terrible Tourmaline Terrine suggestion). I like the Flamboyant Forgery on the premise that it is a McGuffin, and the Statuette of Wealthy Law on the premise that he took it off of some poor Lawbringer who happened to visit his tomb a few centuries ago...

When it comes to personal choice, I'd go for the Legendary Importantly Bloodsucking Sword Of Lecherous Chaos, and anyone who knows me knows why.

I have to agree with [livejournal.com profile] shaterri in that the Diamond Fork makes the best wedding gift: Ostentatious, extravagant, and only somewhat useful. A close second would be the +2 Insidious Golden Necklace, only because it may be usedc to help break up a couple you don't particularly like.

For McGuffins, I keep looking at the +5 Fearsome Flammifier, but I think it's because I keep getting the idea that it is found that the Flammifier flammifies whatever it's in contact with, and with the adventurer holding on trying to activate it... (Mcguffins for me are more about the comic twist at the end.)

And then, there's poor Lester. Burdened with that +5 Cosmic Necklace of Virginity, I can see him bemoaning "Now I'm a being of at least some significant power--and I still can't get some!"

And then, there's just the strange...
Everlasting Hoary Glove of Wicked Fleshly Imminent Unicorns
Maybe for Presto the Prestidigitating Proctologist, this is a suitable item, being always cold and imbued with the spirit of things with a poking end...

You and "Lecherous Chaos" go together like a +3 Rune-Encrusted Grand Ruby Of Aloof Doom and the Venomed Globe Of Monastic Good.

Let's be fair, Khtsoyis bash suspecting people on the head just as often.

Hey, *I* went with the Legendary Importantly Bloodsucking Sword Of Lecherous Chaos! How many peopel can have that, anyway? Aren't these unique and legendary? *harrumph*

Since you made the options for Lester checkboxes instead of radio buttons, I picked three rather than just one. I think the Necklace of Virginity goes well wit the Statuette of Sluttish Good! And added the Terrible Periapt cause the combo seemed so TERRIBLE!!!!

And I picked four gifts for the wedding -- two to claim, and two to be there anonymously and potentiate chaos!

(Which I've done in RL, also.)

And now, of course, I must keep an eye out for a sinuous and fashionably befeathered dragonette to hang on my chandelier. We collect exotic stuffed animals ... you'd be right at home ... well, aside from the house being populated by monsters vaguely resembling bald Orren.
