Blood Moon Rising has published a chapter of my forthcoming novel A Marriage of Insects in their free web issue. Go take a look, at my stuff and the other things, if you like.

No, I don't write horror. My chapter comes from the middle of Marriage; the protagonists are at a Lovecraftian horror theme restaurant. In the next chapter, several of them go into the actual temple of Lovecraftian horror, while the others go shopping.

I hope it's more or less comprehensible. I wouldn't have picked a chapter from the middle of the novel, except that my publisher recommended that I send some excerpt to Blood Moon Rising, and that was the most on-theme I had around.

...I was just thinking to inquire of you as to random commentary about writing a fictional blog, as I've been pondering starting one for my horror ideas/story/novel...

Um ... if you ask a more specific question, I'll give you my best answer!

yeah, that was pretty vague wasn't it? :)

WHY did you start writing this blog; WHAT things prompted you to start it and keep writing here?

HOW does the LJ format and the commentary provided differ for you from the usual "read this and critique it". How has it helped and hindered the development of your characters and their story?

Do you write it with the big picture (novel) in mind, or is it just the life of Sythry as zi puts it forth?

Nice, although I tend to find Lovecraftian horror more amusing than scary. Only Reanimator managed to slightly disturb me. I probably should have left my contacts in or put my glasses on before reading though. -ba

And we didn't even have to ask the name of the story.

Me: Let's see... which one is Sythyry's... The Grave? No. It Was Consentual? What does that mean?

Delframber: Pregnant, dear. Pregnant.

Me: Oh, thanks. Aha! Just choose the story that most evokes Sythyry!

The Padwolf site is humiliating. The BloodMoonRising site is kinda dense.

But all the lettering on the page is done in SOLID GOLD! With 3d rotation! That's quality, right there.

Still, you'd think they could do something simple to clean up their site. Frames, perhaps?
