Local War

Yair is a player in my Ynys Heddwch game -- a very leisurely (to put it nicely) Ars Magica play-by-email game that I'm nominally running.  He's a nice guy. Case in point: one of our other players is very poor:  frequently no job, and a 3-year-old child, and a husband on some kind of permanant disability. She didn' t have an Ars Magica book, which made her playing a bit awkward.  Yair and I conspired to order a book for her. 

My game is pretty international.  One player is in Finland, one is in England, ...

And Yair lives in Israel. 

Yair is in the Israeli army reserves.

Yair has been sent to southern Lebanon.

It's a local war, at the moment.

But this time, the "local" is closer than sometimes.

Yeek, as you might say. You might consider a donation to PizzaIDF.org... I suppose you can't get Hawaiian, but it'll do.

Well ... If I donate to that, I'd feel obligated to donate to a relief agency for the Lebanese civilians too. However I may feel about an individual warrior, I can't be too delighted by the war.

I hope he comes out of the insanity okay, cause heaven knows this situation is absolutly nuts!
