Bravely and Resolutely Setting Forth [26 Consimbs 4261]
(And, in case it's not obvious, I didn't say a single questionable thing to Zanniajaia, nor even ask her opinion of transaffection, or any such thing. I didn't even manage to ask where she's from.)
Still -- as Prince Nestrune said to me at lunch today -- I am still a minor notable of Vheshrame, I am a minor hero of our latest and most ridiculous war (though I might not want to count too heavily on that point), I am still a relative of some very important people, I am still an ambassador (albeit to the least populous country with which Vheshrame has an ambassador), I am still a student at the prestigious Vheshrame Academy. Nobody need know that I am an adventurer, a close friend of a both-female, recently broken up from a somewhat unsavory and foreign relationship, or, apparently, a complete and utter blockhead.
And if there's anyone who knows more about turning such advantages into enthusiastic copulations, it's Prince Nestrune.
And so ... if I can't have the kind of date I want with Zanniajaia, I know where to go to find one.
I will bravely and resolutely set forth to Across Saga as soon as I decide what species to go as.
[Oh, dear. -bb]

*sputter*
Are you crazy? Is THAT your problem??
I swear, this is going to bite you on your tail, and when it does, I will find some way to paint your feathers green when you start bemoaning your fate. I may have to command a major trowel to do so, but by Loki, I shall!

Don't take along anything you can't afford to lose.

I don't think I can get anyone pregnant. Especially since I will probably be a girl.

Also, I would be careful. Zanniajaia seems to like you. Yeah, no guarantee it will go that way, but don't ruin your chances with her before you even get them.
Hey Bard, can you tie Sythyry down before zie does something zie'll regret?

...any plan which begins with "Following Prince Nestrune's Advice" is doomed beyond all ordinary doomedness.
I think that there's a full chapter covering this very issue in the required texts for: "Leap Into This Pool of Boiling Acid"

Cani: a keen sense of smell might be a good advantage as you would be able to sniff many threats ahead of time, as well as detecting the presence of friends or foes. Being a Cani will also deter traff Cani from approaching you, and thus learning you smell like a Zi Ri or an orren. (unless you have a completely different set of clothes for being a Cani)
Gormoror: strength may not be a great advantage, but there are some people who are attracted to stronger, larger beings; the question is whether these are the kind of people you want to woo.
Herethroy: seems replete with many fine nuances of customs that might trip you up, should you encounter another Herethroy there who might become curious about the strangely un-Herethroy Herethroy.
Khtsoyis: unlikely due to bad associations you'd have with the race from past acquaintances you've made.
Rassimel: probably a safe choice! No exceptional abilities, but also not a race that will stand out excessively.
Sleeth: the purring! However, probably not the best choice, you will lack hands, and unless Cloak of Another God grants you the other race's talents, you will not be able to manipulate things by magic.
With that in mind, I suspect Cani to be the most likely choice of the races available.

You mean Blueshell?
Um.
Re: Um.
But, well, it would have been a good idea.
Re: Um.
...
And yes, I'd go there.
With the right company, at least.
