1. My username is Sythyry because that's a good pronounceable snippet of my name and everyone calls me it.
2. My journal is titled "Sythyry's Journal" because it's my journal.
3. My subtitle is not there because I did not think that my private diary needed one.
4. My friends page is called my friends page because it is a page of my friends.
5. My default userpic is a picture of me because ... um ... my boyfriend bet me 15,000 lozens that I wouldn't put a naked-looking picture of myself up on the Internet. And never mind that I had that picture for a full year [Three years RL!] before I met him.

1. My username is Perlandria because it is an infinately unfolding tangle of representations from CSLewis's 'Perelandra', to the nacre nature of pearls and survival, over 8 letters long in protest of MS when I started using it in the early 90s, a wordplay on my legal name as it relates to the goddesses associated with the planet Venus, etc. That is the short version..
2. My journal is titled Invisible Sun because of some Police Lyrics, which is about hope, endurance, strength and ties back to the light in CSLewis's 'Perelandra', etc. That is the short version.
3. My subtitle is butterscotch clouds ... tangerines because those are some of the words in a Prince song on one of my favorite albums. It is the song about being teased and misunderstood, but still true. I am the same person who got bullied for being this way, and I like being this way, so fuck 'em.
I could have taken the words from my actual favorite song on that album, which is Play In The Sunshine, but Play In The Sunshine doesn't soundbite well and is more of an active/needs to be heard song to me. Butterscotch Clouds is more introspective, slightly dada, and more like what I tend to archive.
4. My friends page is called Perlandria's Friends because I haven't modified it at all.
5. My default userpic is Alphonso Mucha's 'Fruit' because it looks enough like me when I was younger to be representational physically, and I often choose the Queen of Pentacles in Paka's copy of the Robin Wood Tarot Deck for the same reasons, and I love the colors, and I am a Californian with fond memories of reading in the vineyard. Now that I keep my hair at shoulder rather than waist length, and the white is evenly split with the redblack (not blueblack), I should hunt new icons? But maybe later :D
