hCevian is interested in being friendly with monsters!  He has offered to answer your questions (one or two apiece).  [I have agreed to try my best to translate his answers. -bb]

[Good luck, and please try not to invite him into terrestrial reality, please. -bb]

Does it hurt when someone goes through your spikes? (Not for the person who accidentally got touched, but you, yourself.)

If the contact is ultraparallel to the tangent plane of my primary surface, yes, it hurts, it damages my spikes. Magical weapons of suitable degree may hurt as well. Asymptotic contact is an aggressive action on my part, even if undertaken by another.

Shallower angles of contact are pleasant to me. I unfortunately understand that they are not always pleasant for the person contacting me. I am now intending hard to restrict to forms which are not in this way unpleasant.

You are now thanked for this question!

What do Locador demons do, normally? I've been lead to believe they fight alot, but when they're in the world tree proper do they serve some maintenance role and make sure space isn't unravelling?

And what senses do you have?

What are your feelings toward Vae?

I assume that angels do not begin in quite the same way as primes and monsters. How were you born/created?

Locador demons in our ordinary habitat do fight. There is little matter there. Matter is necessary for certain phases of our life cycle, so we fight greatly for what there is.

Only a few of us work on the World Tree, and only a few others are allowed to visit there. I do not know the tasks that those who work there perform.

I have senses related to position, density, tightness, curvature, and their various integrals and derivatives.

Vae has made herself my stepmother. She defeated me in combat without even realizing she did, for which I hate her, but she induced primes to restore me partially and she has offered to protect me from others of my kind who are not maimed, which I appreciate. Inconveniently I am required to fully comprehend her motives, a corrosive process which has lead to forgiveness, which is itself a corrosive process which I should not be capable of but am.

Are you related to the monsters that keep trying to get inside the World Tree, like the Vindication?

What is the most pleasant intersection you've found so far?

We were born as a result of sexual congress between mature adults of our species.

From what I have observed of how emotional awareness interacts with sexual congress among primes, I doubt that I will be able to find suitable mating opportunities in the future.

How often do you visit locations with more than three spatial dimensions? The way Primes understand it, I believe they perceive a world with three spatial dimensions (length, width, depth, ie, a 3 dimensional object produces a two dimensional shadow...). How many do you perceive the Tree as having? Does that ever change? How many spatial dimensions are your favorite? What is the highest number of spatial dimensions for a place you have ever visited? The lowest?

1. Your name is being translated as a particular geometric concept, a hyperbolic cevian. Is this particular concept in someway related to you (e.g. it is the essence of your nature, it is an assigned area of responsiblity)? Is this unique to you specifically or are their a large number of locador demons tied to the same concept?

2. You keep mentioning empathy and compassion as a form of weakness. Could you explain this a bit more, given that in all our experience, the ability to cooperate tends to make groups stronger and more dangerous than the would be as individuals?

Prime perception of space is nearly incomprehensible. Locally it has three dimensions. It has not changed since I have been here. I long to participate in ℶ0 dimensional spaces, but it is not safe.

My name is casually connected to me; a strong pull in the right direction could break it off. It is a common concept; many of my kindred take it as their name.

Locador demons do not form cooperative groups voluntarily.

If I understand that right, that's quite up there for the number of dimensional spaces you would like to visit! Certainly far more than '3'! What is the highest number you regularly and safely visit, then?

There are no spaces I can safely visit.

That's tragic then. I mostly meant where the geometric reality of the higher dimensional location itself won't specifically pose a danger to your person, rather than, say, the inhabitants of that location posing a danger to your person, if that helps? In other words, where the location itself isn't actively working against you?

This is beyond the second question in any form of counting. When I offer to answer one, two, or three questions, feel delighted to ask this again.

Okay, I won't keep trying to clarify and further define or re-ask the question in different ways for now. Maybe later.

So, do you prefer to live in the angles or curves?

From: [identity profile] sythyry.livejournal.com
Curves are angular if observed properly.
