Will do fan art (or fanfic) for bonus Sythyry! /o.o\

When I first wrote a web serial, I tried three times the week. I found it a little ambitious, and dropped back to once... but I tried really hard to stick to that, and the discipline of it proved good.

*nods* I have not been overly disciplined about Sythyry.

What pronoun, if I can ask?

I sometimes use other pronouns for Sythyry, but generally because at the moment Sythyry is using Cloak of Another God and has a different gender.

The frog in the pond simply must be using Croak of Another god, from the sounds of it.

I enjoy a steady diet of World Tree! I love the exploration of such an interesting universe. It feels like a science fiction setting, with just very different rules from our universe.

(And yes, I know that usually, the inclusion of magic in a setting pretty much means it's fantasy. This just feels like science fiction to me. I can't really specify why.)

Oh, it's absolutely science fiction ... or fantasy written with SF styling, at least. Science fiction, in a universe where the laws of nature are People.

As I no longer travel in furry circles, I have never had occasion to refer to Sythyry personally in any way, using any pronoun. I have occasionally referred to the work, but not the character.

Given the choice, I'd rather see Sythyry update on a Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday (or Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday) schedule instead of MWF, since basically every three-a-week comic on the web updates on the MWF schedule.

I've relatively recently started following Sythyry again, and I've been enjoying it immensely!

My usual strategy for non-gender-specific reference is to avoid pronouns entirely, which can lead to somewhat contorted sentence structure at times, but I like that kind of thing.

I wouldn't mind doing more with [livejournal.com profile] mharreff, it's just that I don't want to write myself too far ahead of someone else in the same continuity... Hm.

Always glad to see Sythyry. I'd rather a schedule that lets you maintain it, at an easier pace, than stick to the five-a-week and burn out on zir!

You know what? I love [livejournal.com profile] kensan_oni's suggestion. Weather has rarely been relevant to Sythyry's journal, aside from the mention of rain keeping everyone inside one day (in college times), and Surprise being hot or cold (mentioned... once? maybe twice?)

Though Sythyry really isn't the type to talk about the weather unless it causes problems. That's what happens when you spend nearly all your time indoors working on enchantments and the like, and the rest of your time chasing and being chased by doom.

I've done this.

Of course, Sythyry has a gender; it's just not a binary gender.

I'd like to change my answer to what pronoun I use to refer to systhyry, while I do refer to zie as he or she sometimes, it is rare and when I do I tend to use the male pronoun, as I always default to it, sometimes even using it for women.

I also do not mind what days you update or even how often (to a point, the removal of sythyry would greate an unending torrent of despair in my life) so go with what works best for you. However if part of the reason is to force yourself to gain / maintain discipline go for T/T/S approach rather than MWF as most no daily webcomics won't update on those days. They need some love too.

[livejournal.com profile] kobolds's response kind of put my pronoun use for Sythyry in a different light, to myself. Like zir, I tend to default to 'he' in everyday life (I've practically dropped 'it' from my active vocabulary in speech), but I don't think I've ever called Sythyry 'he'. 'She'... tends to slip in now and then.

And it's not the sort-of-similarity between 'zie' and 'she', either, as I've a character of my own who I occassionally slip into 'he' for.

I wish you had made this pole 'click all that apply' and not 'choose one'. because, for the first question, I woudl have checked all but 'i supply bribes', as the only bribe I supply is 'attaboys!' mostly in person, as I am woefully in... in... not inelegant, not insufficient, not... i don't read consistently enough. :D

I default 'he' because I've met you in person and I'm *horrible* about getting first identities out of my head. My problem, and I do *try*, and I need to smack myself about the head and shoulders with the appropriate brick.

And while I realize that it's not particularl helpful, I've pretty much been happy with the places you've taken the story, and feel it would be imposing to make suggestions about where to go with it. Which just means I most likely won't ever write fanfiction.
