OOC, [personal profile] beetiger, [personal profile] projectmothra, and I are going to go to Lake George area, Burlington, Montreal, and Albany, for a couple days each, next week.

Do you have any recommendations for cool stuff that a 2-going-on-3 year old and his parents would likely enjoy in one or another of those places?  Especially stuff that isn't quite in the top 10 list that every tourist site will tell me about.

The thanks!  We will return you to your regularly scheduled lizard doom shortly!

In the Montreal area, there's the Cap St. Jacques Park, which contains a neat little farm with a program to preserve obscure heritage breeds of cattle, goats, etc., so it's quite interesting.

My young cousins seemed to enjoy the NY state museum - it's free with donations accepted if I remember correctly, and has a carousel on the top floor. Not sure what they've got on display at the moment - you'd want to check that to see if it's anything sparkly enough to hold the little one's attention.

Carousel, nature exhibits, fire engine -- that sounds like a good one! The thanks!
