Since I have a date of sorts tonight -- and not with Ilottat -- I would like to offer a more hopeful question. What would you do if you had Vae in your basement?

Well... she's seem keen on decorating. I'd give her a couple of perameters, and let her make a spare bedroom? Oh, and add a space so I can have a extrademensional closet... Cause I still have a lot of stuff, and I'd like to be able to put it away somewhere without stuff cluttering up the new bedroom.

That's slightly better than having three wishes. Only you have to be even more careful what you wish for. And how its likely to be interpreted.

I think I'd give Vae a cuddle.

Whatever she wanted me to do. And then, we'd have The Conversation.

Ask nicely for some enchantments, offering to trade stories or something!

Have her tie herself up, turn into a lovely luscious young Orren girl with brains and wit and the desire to spend a pleasant evening sans clothes and involving warm oils and hands in interesting places!

Couldn't you at least wait 'til she's sexually mature to do that?

*laughs 'til fire jets out of zir nose*

Yeah, that's probably right.

Offer her fine tea and chocolate, then get into a discussion about the creative use of Mentador, Locador, and Tempador. And Mutoc.

Well, certainly. But that'd probably be the case anyway by the time -I- got there!

We'd play the transformation game! It'd be a grand experience to see what it's like to be all sorts of different creatures, walk a mile in another man's shoes, as it were! Or, hm, go nowhere as someone else's shoe. There's always being a shoe. Sanity keeping would be a big part of this game, I think. And hopefully, the game would cheer Vae up!

Also, I would wonder: when did I get a basement? I would suspect Vae. I would also wonder if it would make my rent increase, and if it had a washer and dryer.

Well, I suppose take her out of the basement first and foremost, convince her to take the form of the local prime species, then go out, have fun in the cities here, which none have even dreamed of gatewaying let alone have laws dealing with it. Then perhaps give her a few momentos from the trip to cause further mischief with when she returns. You thought a trowl was bad, imagine her trying to sell off a sealed glass bottle filled with offworld tea.

Spend the night in someone else's house. Preferably in another City. Possibly hiding in a closet, just on the off chance that Vae gets bored in my basement and comes looking for me.

Very sensible!

I can't think of any reason why we would need stay in the basement all night...Just think of the mischeif we might find if we set to travelling!

That depends entirely on whether teleporting to our universe translated 'prime' for her. Otherwise I don't imagine she'd have much use for me...

Maybe I'm being uncharitable. Assuming she was willing to be reasonable, for whatever reason, then like a lot of other people mentioned I *have* always been fascinated with transformations...

So, yes, I'd be horribly doomed. That's what.

If you asked for a washer and dryer, you might end up as one!

Delicately inquire what sort of improbable substance she tailthwapped my never-before basement into existance from, and hope the answer isn't my cat.

I'd also be one of the doomed, I suspect. My first reaction would be "eep, there's a large lizard in my basement!" Communication difficulties would have to be dealt with, of course. (I'd happily trade my limited knowledge of, say, French for the Nice Language - but I'd rather not lose knowledge of a programming language instead. Hmm.)

I'd probably end up discussing transformation in favourable terms, and find myself more likely to respond "oooh, cool!" than starting up The Converstation. Goodness knows what I'd end up as. But as long as it wasn't a permanent change, I wouldn't mind.

Maybe this person didnt know that Vae wasn't mature until you just mentioned it?

I'd probably end up talking to her a whole bunch, and maybe we would redecorate the basement (or rather, I wouldn't try to stop her from redecorating the basement), and we would go travel about the city, and I would show her around my civilization, and maybe she could teach me some skills or something... that'd be neat! We'd probably also go book shopping, so she would have some interesting books to read! And clothes shopping. After, of course, I figured out a way that I could get something I could quickly trade for a large amount of local currency (something that wouldn't transform into something of no value; I dont want to rip people off!) -- yea, we would go buy lots of interesting things, maybe go to an amusement park!

I wouldn't spend the night in the basement when I have someone of that pure amount of power who wants to be friends, heavens no!

What would Khereva Do?

"Sell Tickets."

She mostly does that when she wants to torture the cat. Most likely it's a spare can of sardines or something.

Somedays I wonder if the cat, any cat but mostly the cat in the picture, isn't a soul sister to Vae.
We have a variation of The Conversation often, and I have the scars to prove it.

Well, for starters, I am totally asking her to fix the flooding problem.

...

I may regret doing so, but at worst I will have an exciting NEW problem with my basement. >:)
